Default 1997 dodge 2500 engine noise with video



I picked up this 1997 dodge 2500 v10 for a steal it has 125k it was running good until a few days ago I was getting on it and it started making this noise and it's only when I give it gas this is my first dodge so I'm pretty lost can anyone help me out.

I'm trying to sell this Truck at the moment and would really like to fix it as soon as possible.

as is no sound in the video? or you didn't hear the ticking sound? I've been doing some research I think it might be a rocker arm or push rod would this make sense? I plan on tearing it apart today.

(There is sound but it is low) Sounds like a valve train tap/noise or possibly a rod bearing is worn. Does it make the noise as soon as you start it up or only when you rev it?

it sounds like it's coming from the top end and it only makes the ticking or knocking sound when I give it gas no other time

might try taking off your serpentine belt and give a listen just to rule out accessories. did you check for exhaust manifold leak? its hard to tell where noises might be on video sometimes

it's gets alot louder when I give it more gas like really loud it sounds like the fan could be hitting some but it's not.

Might have knocked the valve springs out of it?

Pull the valve covers and check to see if it might have broken the valve spring or springs ??????
