Default 99 318 randomly dies in reverse

Hello, my 99 318 is randomly dying in reverse while backing up on any sort of a slight incline. It's done this a few times over the years. Then I wouldn't have an issue for months. But yesterday I was sitting at a read light and saw my rpms dropping like the truck was trying to die but then they would jump back up to idle. Then today it died on me twice while in reverse, both times on an incline. Not sure if both problems are connected or not but I'm clueless on both. I was thinking maybe an issue in the fuel lines some where but who knows. Any ideas?

There are a couple threads on this type of thing, I *think* the usual cure is a crank sensor...... But, if you haven't done it lately, could start by cleaning the IAC passages in the throttle body.

The throttle body is relatively new. How could I check the sensor? I figured there were threads for it I was just having trouble finding any when j searched, it was giving me the ads from every section. Is there an easier search method?

Just need to refine your search-fu. It's almost an art form....... Finding the right terms to search FOR is the hardest part......

Would need an oscilloscope to check the sensor.......
