Default whining noise between my transmission and engine

I have an 01 ram 4x4 manual trans and recently it's been making a winning noise from what UK thought was a loose drive belt but I changed it and it still happens but it's real quiet when I'm driving but when I push the clutch in to switch gears it gets louder til I disengage. Now it's getting to where it's steady and doesn't get louder nor softer. Is it the clutch going out possibly?

Sounds like the throw out bearing in going out. If you go into it that far plan on changing the clutch as well. It's a pain to pull it all apart and reassemble, then have to pull it apart again because of something else going out.

Once they start making noise, they don't have many miles left in 'em.
Take care of it sooner than later, or you'll be driving crash-box to get home.

I took it to a shop to diagnose it and it's the throw out bearings and it was recommended to replace clutch kit too. Now I just gotta find some videos for replacing em since I have a transfer case and can't afford the labor fees

Got a trans jack? Not really that bad of a job. Parts are just HEAVY.
