Axle Spline Count How To?
I have a Dana 70 rear end with 3.73 gears. Do I actually have to pull the axle out to count the splines? I want to install a Detroit Locker so I need to know before I order.

I believe the Dana 70 uses 35 spline axles - you can read up some more about it here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_70

That's a full floater, so, six (or is it eight?) bolts, and the axle will come out. (have a drip tray handy.) Then you just make a mark, count the splines, and you know for a fact how many you have.
