Hello I have a 96 dodge ram 1500 sport 5.2l engine. Recently I noticed that when I leave my truck in park or I stop at a red light and remain idle my truck seems to accelerate and the rpms go up, more so though when the truck is in park. I have also noticed a strange hissing noise that seems to come from the truck when I accelerate as well. I am not sure if the two problems are connected or seperate from each other. Side note the hissing sound seems to go away when I turn my air off but the acceleration problem still persist, any help would be greatfull, thanks in advance!

 

Time to start looking for vacuum leaks.
