Frist off.
Every so often none of my gauges work but the RPM gauge works every time.

My ignition cylinder for my key is always sticky, what i mean is i can start my truck with out the key present. the steering wheel will still lock up sometime. but this problem keeps killing my battery.


My RPM idle at 2000, Ive adjusted them down fro the throttle body, But it seem to make no difference.

 

Computer controls idle so adjusting at the TB will do nothing, check for vacuum leaks. Could also be TPS and/or IAC related.

 

I would be real tempted to replace the ignition switch as well.
