Default Cylinder 5 misfire

Man I just can't win....I've been re-habbing this truck and before I enjoy one upgrade, another problem starts😬

CEL said 5 misfire-I changed the plug and within 5 miles it came back on.

Any ideas or suggestions? (Don't forget I am a mechanical flunkie....)

2 years and only 8k miles ago I replaced distributor cap, plugs and wires.....

Thanks

Dave

Did you route your plug wires according to the TSB?

No....I went off of the repair manual/Google stock positions I believe....

Is this TSB new? And 2 years later I would throw a code now?

Probably not gonna help then.... Could try swapping the injectors on 5 and 7, see if the miss moves.
