Well I got the truck up to operating temp and put a resister in the temp sensor circuit and it still did the same problem. I unhooked the egr from the intake and blocked it off. Still has the problem

 

Unplug the O2 sensor.

What plugs are you using?

 

That is only going to make it run more rich, was that your plan?

 

It's not going to make it run rich. I put a resister in there to simulate it being at operating temp. I am using auto lights. I took the truck out today and it seems to be running really good. It didn't stall on me at all

 

Is that with the resistor, or with the ECT hooked up?

 

The resistor is going to raise the resistance that equates to an indicated lower coolant temp. The PCM will try to compensate for that.


This is the same principle behind those resistors for the IAT.

 

That's with everything Hooked up. Except the oxygen sensor. Not if the resistance equals that of the operating temp
