Default 99 gear shifter stuck. Have 4 wheel posilock.

My plow truck sits most of the year. Only used for plowing. Has 4 wheel posilock installed in place of factory vac. actuator. The floor trans gear shifter is stuck in place. Posilock works fine and engages 4 wheel drive. Ideas?

If it sits most of the time, is the linkage simply rusted up? Might try drowning it with some good penetrating oil... See if that doesn't help.

I lubed the linkage from under the truck. It moves now, but still takes a lot of force to move the shifter. Fluid is full.

If spraying it down got it to move a little bit keep spraying it. And working it back and fourth. A good foaming penetrating oil will do wonders.

Yep, probably just frozen linkage. Just keep working it with lubricant.
