Default Looking for advice on front end job (4WD Vacuum Actuator + Diff Fluid) 01 2500

I'm looking for some advice on a job I plan on doing here soon. My 4WD doesent work and I also had a wheel bearing go out on my front right side. I already replaced the wheel bearing but I leaked a bunch of diff fluid out so I need to replace the fluid. Since I had been putting off replacing the 4WD actuator I figured now would be a good time to do both. I understand how to replace the actuator but what I'm not sure about is how to refill the front diff with fluid. I know there is a vent hose that runs up to the engine bay that connects to the actuator case, can I fill using this? What is the best way under the circumstances of the job i'm doing to get this done?

Before you replace the CAD, look at posi-lok cable system.

To fill the pumpkin just remove the plug on the cover, fill to just below the hole, and you're done.

Much appreciated. Is there any thing special I need to do other than swap the parts and refill the diff with 85W-140?

85w-140 if you tow, otherwise just the lighter weight normal stuff.

Why are you replacing the actuator? Is it actually bad?
