I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 and recently bought new headlights for it. My OEM headlights were a sport model (2 bulbs) and the new set I bought has just 1 bulb.

I'm confused about how to hook the red wire and black wire from the headlight to the wiring harness to get the bottom LED strip to work. My wiring harness has 3 wires (purple, purple with white stripe, and red with orange stripe). I heard something about the wiring on these trucks can be a little mixed up...? Can someone specifically explain where I need to connect the red and black wires from my headlights?

Could you be more specific please lol I'm a complete noob here and a noob to working on trucks. I tried searching for manuals already and couldn't find anything.
