Think he is referring to the bumper cover, if so, yes it has been done. Needs brackets that are made to fit the bumper and line up with his mount. There are youtube videos of this and I was just checking that out myself the other night.
This is actually a 4th gen to a 2nd gen... I need to dig for the 3rd gen....
