Default 94 dodge Dakota 4.3 v6

One day driving it comes to a stop automatic transmission it wouldn't move and had to be towed home the next morning crank it up and it shifts in reverse and shifting to drive move it 20 feet cut it off and then it wouldn't do nothing again no reverse no drive no nothing

4.3??? Not an engine size Dodge ever used in the first gen dakotas.... Either a 3.9, or maybe a 5.2? Six or eight cylinders?

In any event, sounds like time for a rebuild on the trans.

Would that make it work fine one minute then cut truck off and nothing I've never run across something like this

There are no electronics in your trans to go bad, so, that's gonna be a mechanical failure..... rebuild or replace.
