96 Ram 2500 2wd axle/spindle nut, washer, and retainer/ lock nut
Has anyone been able to locate the axle/ spindle lock nut set/ kit for a 96 Ram 2500 2wd or is there interchangeable parts that will work off of something else? I need the washer and retainer/ lock nut for the front. They got messed up when the wheel bearing denigrated after 6 months.
Check the local junk yards? Or have a chat with your local parts store... Those *should* still be available somewhere.... Dealer??? (yeah, 60 bucks for a friggin nut.....

What rear? Dana 60? Try a truck shop they carry stuff for the dana's were the others don't. 30271 is the # for the nut, 30275 is for the washer.

The standard non metric/UNF (Universal Fine) count should be 14tpi. Although, 12tpi is the UNF standard for that size for a bolt, 14tpi is far more common in actual/automotive use.
If all of the above is correct...then you're basically looking for a castellated spindle nut like this one. RELIABLE 1" - 14 Slotted Axle Spindle Nut #SN-1000. Under $10 with washer and cotter pin. Pay close attention to the specs for installation. Too loose or too tight won't get you around the block!

Side note...My 1996 1500 RWD/2WD maintenance schedule calls for these front bearings to be inspected and serviced every 20,000 miles! I don't recall owning another vehicle in the last 50 years, that required that rigorous of a maintenance schedule for wheel bearings.

I have a 98 Cummins 12 valve RWD & I just bought Timken front outer race & bearing that fits for the driver's side front wheel.... (Front Outer; RWD; 4,000 lb. Axle - 8 Stud). My castellated spindle nut is fine, however I'm looking for & desperately need the washer and grease cap/dust cap. Will the cap and washer work from the trailer parts place referred to (RELIABLE 1" - 14 Slotted Axle Spindle Nut #SN-1000) or where should I look to purchase these other than pick-a-part places. Makes no sense to discontinue parts needed to keep driving a truck with a motor that will last forever if you take care of it. It's my only vehicle & I luv my truck. I don't want anything else because nothing else compares to the king of diesel motors. I can't go anywhere with a compromised washer & no grease cap/dust cap. Thank you !
Have you talked to the local dodge dealer??
Grease Cap: 52007906
Washer: 06029984
Search google on the part numbers, should be able to find 'em. Might be Ebay, or somewhere similar, and likely used parts as well.... If your local pick-n-pull has 'em, that would be faster.

If anyone knows the actual diameter where it presses in (I was unable to find numerical specs), I find it hard to believe there's not an aftermarket alternative? Maybe not??
