Default 2001 dodge transmission rebuild or replace

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and I recently had a problem with is shifting from first to second and now its in third and fourth. I dropped the pan and found a peace of the front band laying in the pan. so I dropped the valve body and put the peace back in and it fixed it for a little bit but the problem is coming back.
Should I get the transmission rebuilt or replaced?
My truck also has a 203,000 miles

I gotta agree with this. Rebuild what ya got.

If you didn't adjust the band when you replaced the part, likely it just fell out again.

We had a reputable shop replace the original transmission with a JASPER unit which they use.
It has a 3 year warranty.

Now have about 3,000 miles.
Towed a 2500 Suburban a few weeks ago up some pretty steep grades and the transmission is working great.
