P 0420 code
I've been looking at the O2 sensors for my truck. Does the 01 have more than the two O2 sensors I see before and after the cat?
Also with the exception of the wiring harness length are the up and downstream sensors the same or are they calibrated differently as well?

On a federal emissions truck, there should be only two.
Wire leads are different length, in some cases, the connectors are different..... (yeah, that makes it fun....) calibrations are exactly the same. What the PCM does with the data is where the real difference is. The rear O2 is pretty much ONLY for monitoring cat efficiency. It is rumored that this can have some small effect on fueling..... but, there is no definitive data to confirm that. (or deny it, for that matter.)

The end all cat problem. Comes in 2" 2.5 3" Etc.. This providing you dont need emissions testing.

The guy I go to for a sticker wouldn't look under the truck as long as the ecm wasn't showing any codes.
A useless appendage indeed. I'm getting ready to dump it. The emissions testing is the only thing slowing me down. I'm going to try the fool the O2 sensor trick and see what happens.
