I taught myself wiring with relays by researching online. I found great write-ups and diagrams through google search. The aftermarket kits never mention relays but I wanted something that would last. I've since done two sets (one fore, one aft) with light up switches in the cab, plus cab lights and running lights. One set died but it was the relay. Swapped it out and good to go. They've been on for over 5 years.

I'd be happy to help further with a little more info from you. Stock kit? Aftermarket? LED or incandescent? Mounting location?
