Default Problems running

I have a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 5.9. I just bought it. 4*4 196000 miles. When I start it and drive away it runs fine for a few minutes. When I slow to a stop and try accelerating it starts chugging and missing bad....Will not accelerate. I put the truck in neutral or park and and shut it off and turn it back on it will run great the rest of the time it's on. Everytime it is shut off for any period of time it does this. Also happens sometimes while I'm driving....I just put the truck in neutral..Turn it off then on real quick and it runs fine until I shut it off again. I've replaced the tps. Also it's throwing zero codes

Disconnect the front O2 sensor, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, replace it.

Welcome to DF!

If the problems don't come back, replace the sensor. NTK, or Denso please, skip Bosch, our trucks don't see to like them.

i have been having to replace the cps and crank sensor every year when it gets cold. this year i replaced both and now I have all cylinders miss firing. All but cylinder 5. It also shows that that i have several codes for the coils. i did just replace all of them last summer. Any ideas? i have a 2002 dodge ram slt with a 4.7L

You need to post in the third gen ram section.
