Default Gear choices

US Gear, Motive, Richmond, Yokan, Auburn, Dana Splicer, Precision, so many options. What is the best company to go with for a 4.10 swap? Any other companies? Do i need to change spiders? Anything else i should buy besides ring and pinion? 1997 2500HD with 104,000 miles on it, i do towing, highway, and occasional burnouts and racing buddies, which set will "never" fail?

Any of them are good. Yukon is supposedly a 'premium' gearset, and you pay for that too.

Longevity is a function of setup. Any of them, set up properly, will outlast the rest of the truck.

Should also considering doing bearings and seals while you are in there. Spiders will be fine.

I hear a lot about Yukon, but that's because they're made by Randy's which is about 2 miles from my home!

Over the years, people have referenced Yukon, US Gear, and Motive on this forum. Auburn I read about lockers a lot. Again, its in the setup, although some have said certain brands hum more than others. Who knows. If I ever get the urge, it'll be Yukons from Randys.

My 4.10s were made by Nitro. I'm very happy with them.

Pretty certain USA Standard are Yukon seconds. No issues with setup or noise on my sets.
