If you put a fuse on the dark blue wire, at the motor, you will only be fusing the delay and park circuits. Which would be okay.

If you fuse at the motor, you would also have to add a fuse on the brown/white (low) and red/yellow (high), as well as, the dark blue, to completely fuse the motor.

Or, just fuse the black ground wire.
