Default 2000 Ram 1500 V6 Magnum 5spd 2wd

Hey there, i just bought a 2000 ram 1500 2wd v6 magnum 5spd. the truck has about 125k miles on it, the PO had no idea about the truck or maintenance, so i was out of luck in acquiring any information about the truck.
i know nothing about these things, i thought it would make for a good around the house type of truck, any information is appreciated, like the quality of the motor (if its great or garbage) what i need to do for 100k mile maintenance, anything i should know about, or look for (usual questions you ask before actually buying the vehicle, lol).
body is pretty rough, so far it didnt look rusty (main reason why i bought it) and since its a basic truck with no features and amenities, less things to go wrong hopefully.

Kinda weak for a full-sized truck, but, the manual trans will help with that.

May want to check the plenum, make sure you don't have oil in the intake. Known problem with the kegger manifold.

With over 100K on it, I would be tempted to replace the timing chain and gears. Get a good double roller set. More accurate, last longer. Your stock chain is prolly pretty stretched out, and replacing it will restore some of the lost power.

Since you don't know the history, might not hurt to do a tune up, oil change, etc. as well.

hey thanks. i wanted to know exactly what ill need for a 100k mill maintenance, what kinda oil, plugs, etc, whole 9 yards. also is it better to get parts from the dealer oem dodge parts?

i bought it as a work truck to use around the house, no intentions of dumping money or time into it, but would like it to run for a long time, as ive seen trucks with 300k+ still being sold, this only has 125k and it looks a little rough ,but runs decent, just a little tlc and i feel as if i made a good buy. its super under powered, but i guess u cant have everything. is there a Facebook page or something? cuz i hate forums and i dont have the patience or time to sit on them, they just feel so choppy, i can give my email or Facebook info if anyone from here would like to shed some light on this truck, lol. also how is the reliability of these v6 magnums? the reason i bought such a basic truck was i did not want weekly or monthly surprises, this is i think as basic as it gets, 2wd, gas,v6, manual, manual everything.
i know me and i will keep dumping money into this just to make it look pretty and nice, but i dont want to go down that rabbit hole, i just want it to drive reliably and good, daily if i have to.
i had about 1/2 tank of gas when i bought the truck, and it took damn near $50 to fill up half a tank!
what is the fuel capacity? oil capacity?
any other link or something to a maintenance guide or something would also help.

If you are changing sensors, most of the time, getting them from the dealer, or, at least, getting OEM parts from some other source is the best plan.

For things like plugs/wires/cap/rotor/filters, you local parts store will be fine. Just be sure to get good quality parts.

Think I would do a full tune-up, if it hasn't been done for a while, change oil, and fluids in both diffs, (if you have two) trans service, (fluid, filter, band adjustment) and maybe rotate the tires.

Pick you up an owners manual off ebay. That will have the maintenance information.
