Default just wondering..

I was just wondering...Does a supercharger or turbocharge wear on an engine? Does it decrease the life of the engine? I tend to think so but I could be wrong. Does anyone on here know if it does? What about intalling a super or turbo charger on a higher mileage engine? Like 100k?

Yes, a supercharger or turbocharger will decrease the life of a motor....especially if it's already a high mileage motor. Anytime you add forced induction or forced horsepower (NOS), you're going to wear more on the engine. How much and how fast it wears depends on many factors, including how much boost you run or how big a shot you run (if it's NOS).
