Default Different size rims front and rear.

Hi, hopefully someone may have done this in the past. My problem is I have a 97 2wd ext cab that has a 2" and 4" drop kit on it. I hav. E also replaced the rear springs as the old were shot. I am running 275/55 r20 front and rear which are fine as they fill the rear arches perfectly but the fronts are rubbing on the bulkhead and are MOT (yearly vehicle test) don't take kindly to this and fail it for road use. The OEM 245/75 r16 wheels fill the front arches and look fine but the rear look to small and narrow. My question is has anyone and could I run the 20's on the rear and get 17" rims with 275/55 r17 for the front? I have some sort of ABS on the truck but there are no sensors on the hubs so can't see that being a problem and as it's 2wd there's no transmission problems. This combination will end up with a slight nose down (hot rod) stance but as there is only abouut 2" difference between the tire dIametres then it won't be to noticeable over the length of the truck. This will leave me with both arches filled and nice widt on the rear and no rubbing on the front. If anyone has done this or any suggestions please feel free to post.. Many thanks and apologies for adding another wheel and tyre question.

Since the truck is 2wd, and you don't appear to have 4WAL, you will be find with different sizes front and rear.

Welcome to DF!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I didn't think it would be a problem but just wondering if anyone else has done this and does it look ok having different rims. Not sure how the ABSworks as there are no sensors on any of the hubs so hopefully it can't mess up the ECU or make it throw a fit. Many thanks.

Changed your name?

You likely only have rear wheel ABS, so, it won't care what the front wheels are doing. (and it won't know either.....) Only one sensor on top of the rear diff.
