Default Split console lid?
Here's today's stupid question: Has anyone ever cut their seat console lid in half? Such a pain to have to lift the whole thing just to get to front part

Put another hinge in the middle? That would be kinda neat.

It would likely work great. You may have to come up with some way to secure the center of the lid when everything is in the upright position. (to be used as a seat.) I bet some magnets would work just fine.
