Default Throttle position sensor ?

Will a bad tps cause it to run bad ? It has a new IAC on it but sometimes at idle it stalls and going down the road it acts like it is running out of gas but has a new Presicion pump in it too ! Last yr i even swapped pcm with our other truck trying to track down this problem ? Doesn't do it all the time ?

TPS can cause some truly bizarre issues, and never set a code. Best bet would be to do some data logging, and see what the log says. Barring that though, they aren't really expensive, could just replace it, and see what happens.

If you're going the change the TPS, do yourself a favour and get an OEM one.
Aftermarket can be real hit or miss... I went through 3 to get a good one.

When I replaced my TPS, not only did the idle smooth out, but the acceleration, especially at low speed, became much more linear. Before the replacement, the throttle was very touchy at low speeds and would sometimes jerk the truck, as if I was pumping the gas pedal. Immediately after replacement, I couldn't believe how carlike it drove. I agree... OEM or don't bother.

to answer your question: yes. See if you can scan it to find out how much voltage it's running. Should be 5v. also, check your batter cables; they may be corroded and not allowing the correct current though them. Check out this video for possible solutions.
