2000 Ram 1500 starting issue, no clicking, no nothing
I have a 2000 Ram 1500, it was running fine the night before, climbed in the following day, the lights come on as usual, but, when you turn the key there is nothing. No clicking, nothing. I have already checked the relay which is fine. Could it be a solenoid issue?
If the relay isn't clicking, then your problem is in the control circuit for it. Solenoid is energized by the relay, so, if the relay isn't doing its thing, the solenoid won't either. Probably neutral safety switch, or something similar.

Yeah, labor rates have gotten stupid in the last couple decades. I can't afford to pay someone else to work on my truck... So, I do it myself as well.
if you don't have one already, grab a service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W, and make figgering out this mess MUCH easier.

So I went ahead and swapped out the Neutral Safety Switch since it was only a $20 part and a 5 minute job. Didn't solve the issue but at least I now know it is good. I did some researching a found there was a 3rd fuse under the hood and low and behold it was blown. Replaced it and I am on the road again. Thanks HeyYou for some direction.
