Default HEADLIGHT CONVERSION

IS THERE A STRIGHT FORWARD WAY TO MODIFY MY 97 RAM HEADLIGHTS SO THAT WHEN THE SWITCH IS IN THE HI-BEAM POSITION, MY HIGHS AND LOWS COME ON, AND IN THE LOW BEAM POSITION, ONLY THE LOW BEAMS?

I don't know of a way to wire it that way, but that doesn't mean there isn't a way to though. One way to have both High and Low beams on at once is to pull back on the light switch and hold. As long as you hold the switch back both beams are on. This is bright but I just intalled some factory foglights on my truck and the visibility while driving is really great. I'd say it's alot better than both high and low beams, come to think of it...I don't even use my high beams anymore since I got foglights. -Tyler

Yeah my low beams with factory fogs is a good setup I wish the fogs didn't run off when I switched my high beams on and I don't want to rewire it. It would be an awesome setup if they stayed on.

home theaterman-- if you look at the relay o the foglights there is a wire that is crimped to the low beam wire if you disconnect that wire then you fogs stay on all the time i did it for offroading

yea if you pull back on the light turn signal stalk on the colum and hold it both LB and HB come on..so that tells me that the switch is just a plain old double throw sing pull with a hold..or maybe a double throw and and double pull...and a hold.. and could be easily rewired to what you want.. nice thinking... thanks for the idea!!!
