Clutch or transmission issue??
I have a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 4x4 manual...
its been my daily driver and the gears have been smooth.. haven't felt any issues....
yesterday as i was driving i was coming up to a left turn so I put it in neutral then wanted to put it in third gear as I came out the turn... for the first time it was hard to engage it.. then when I did it stalled...
present issues..
-I can start it right up engaging the clutch
-I can put it into every gear and reverse fine when it's off.
-I can't put it into any gear with out it stalling..
-clutch pedal is pretty hard
if anyone can give me some thoughts on this I would greatly appreciate it.. thank you for reading

Welcome to the forum.
I am not following what your concern is. You made a turn at slow speed in 3rd and are wondering why it stalled? Because 3rd is way to high for slow speed turns.
Are you having trouble starting with the clutch engaged (pedal out/ neutral) or disengaged (pedal in/ geared) ?
The pedals are very soft on these trucks but not as soft as 3rd gens. Have you checked the master cylinder reservoir level and for leaks?
You can put it in any gear when turned off. That's normal. If it is difficult to shift when driving, the syncros are getting worn. I always ALWAYS let the syncros work for me. As I let off the gas and disengage clutch, I ease the shifter into the neutral position and put a little pressure on the next gear until the syncros have opened the slot and it 'drops' in.
Any weird noises or grinding? How many miles are on the truck?

No the turn wasn't the issue that's just when it happened... sorry if i was unclear I kinda rushed it my truck will starts so it will idle on neutral. But once I put it into any gear it kicks and stalls out again. The clutch has become pretty hard too. I think it is connected with the issue... the truck has 128,000 miles I bought it with a bad tranny so I had it replaced along with the clutch just last week and I think they did something wrong and this is happening now
