Default Blowing pcms

I might be just dumb but I've went through two computers on my 97 dodge ram 1500 my gen light came on a than it blew I don't k ow what to do someone help me!!!

Need to test the alternator. If it puts out too high of a voltage, it lets all the magic smoke out of various electronic components, and they stop working.

Think is, the voltage regulator is IN the PCM......

I wired in a external so I'll try that

So that worked for like a week then computer out again! I'm getting so flustered any ideas

Are you actually getting an overvoltage? Bad grounds on the PCM?
