Wish I had my Ram
It was a 4x4 V8 (4.6 I guess). The only thing good I can say about it is that it started right up at extreme negative temps, even when I forgot to plug in the block heater. It had a sunroof, but it was frozen shut. My main issue I had with it was how light the back of it was. This was more evident by how easy the backend would come out on ice with just a little throttle.
There are tons of Rams up there though, mostly diesels.

badass. Yea, I know what you're saying. My mom has a '98 Explorer 4.0L 4WD. Even in full time 4WD she still has a bit of trouble with sliding in MN winters.

Nice pics man.
I was up in alaska in 2000 for the USAF. It awesome up there. All that beauty comes at a price of freezing your buns off in the winter and crazy daylight hours. I am hoping to go from germay to alaska next year to live. I have it on what we call a dream sheet. (A list of where you would like to be assigned for the military) Your pictures reminded me of how much I miss the place. Very nice pictures by the way. I never did get to see the pipeline when I was there. Now I know what it looks like. Thanks for posting them. I'll add a few to this post when I get home from work. I have some nice ones too.

I got a few pictures to add. The one of the river was from a melting glacier. It was the nicest shade of light blue. I never saw a flowing river like that with the shade of fake blue you always see on pictures of beaches in the caribbean. Anyhow the water was so pure you could drink it right out of the river with out thinking twice. I went up river to the glacier a few hours later and licked it. Tasted like a few million year old icecube.

Here are some of the pics from the second work trip I took (just got back before Christmas). I was in the Marshall Islands on the Kwajalein Atoll for 2 weeks. I incuded an aerial picture I found on the internet of the island I was on most of the time (Kwajalein). I was working at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site.
There was not a Dodge Ram in site by the way. Only vehicles I saw on any of the islands were Fords.
I did get to fish (Mahi Mahi in my right hand, Yellow Fin tuna in my left), and snorkel. Lots of great coral to see. Wish I could have scuba dive. There is lots of WWII ships and planes to dive on. It was warm and humid. Temps are 87 degrees F pretty much year round.

Haven't eaten it yet. I gave most of it to a friend who was there, and he froze it and brought it home to Colorado. I still need to go over to his place and pick some up so I can grill it.
No, that stuff is pretty far out into deep water. I snorkeled mostly near the shore on the lagoon side so I could see the coral.
Here are some pics from the Kwajalein Scuba Club website though.

Also, there are a lot of sharks out there. When we were fishing, we lost several tuna that were eaten by sharks as we pulled them in. We even caught a oceanic white tip shark when it ate the entire tuna we had on the line. We brought it all the way to the boat before it bit through the line. It looked to be about 200+ lbs according to our captain.
Check out this yellow fin tuna head we pulled in after a shark bit the body right off in one bite. This was a big tuna too, maybe 50 or 60 lbs.
