Hey guys, I am new to these forums, but not to car forums in general. I just bought my first dodge truck. I had been driving my old mans 96 sport for about a year and decided I wanted one of my own. I bought a 1999 1500 4x4 Sport with the 5.9l motor. Its a really clean truck and I like the updates that dodge made between the 1996 and the 1999. I guess my first question would have to do with the paint quality on the 1999's. My truck is yellow and I am not sure if it made a difference, but the clear coat seems to have failed in a couple places. The roof is peeling and the edges of the bedrails. If anyone else had issues with this let me know if Dodge did anything for you, otherwise it looks like I have a weekend project in spraying some clear. Peace

Welcome to DF! I have a 2001 so I don't have any paint issues. I am sure someone on here can help you though.
