Default Running issue

Reaching out for ideas...have 01 2500 24v..problem is from 0 to 44 mph runs as normal as can be...as soon as Speedo hits 45mph it starts surging..it did this several months ago and did this for aprox 3 weeks and then it quit doing it..ran completely normal...now several months later...it's doing it again...any thoughts?...please and thank you

Manual or auto trans? And how much is the tach jumping? If you have an auto trans, and the tach only jumps around 200-300 RPM, replace the throttle position sensor.

Let us know how it turns out. (my truck was doing the same thing, TPS solved it. of course, I have the 8.0, not der diesel, but, same theory.)
