Default performance mods y0

What would be the best exhaust system for my truck. I have been thinking about a Gibson, since I have seen (and rode in) more trucks with Gibson exhausts. Also, I have a quick question about the air intake. I have been thinking about upgrading the factory intake, but I am lost as to which companies for intakes or the best. Also, is there anyway I can get parts without having to get ricer stickers. I have my DF decal and that's all I want on it so far.

flowmaster and K&N get my vote...

whatever intake you pick, make sure it has a shield and the filter is isolated from the engine compartment. that will offer the best gains.

if you decide to do a dual out, 2.5"s will probably be ok but expect to loose some low end torque. with your truck being a 2x4, QC, if your dual outs is not strong enough on the low end, you can reduce them down to 2.25" or anywhere in between. the dual 2.25"'s will be slightly bigger than a single 3" output.

what would be the best set up that would still hold my low end torque or increase low end torque. I know I am not as mechanically wizardly as some of you guys, but bear with me. I am trying to learn.

No bigger than 2.5" into the muffler. No bigger than 3" out of the muffler. You'd have to look at the different setups to see what pipe diameter is.

I went with 3" from the converter to 3" magnaflow muffler with the 3" going all the way out the back...Still maintained all the lowend torque..The restriction from the convertor will keep your low end about where it is, coming out with OVER 3" back from the convertor is where you will start to lose your low end...

3" is a safe bet
