Getting headers and cutouts put on May be next week. Have a Flyin Ryan SCT tuner on the way. And I've made up my mind that I'm gonna spray this thing with up to a 175 shot.

I have and old 383 big block from the early 70's. I was contemplating stroking it up to a 496 and putting it in my Indy. I think that has the potential to beat some mushwangs.

Exhaust, heads, tb, intake, cam, and tune. I would even say a shift kit as well since they are cheap. You would have a light 300+hp truck with plenty of torque. It could hold its own against the cars of its time just not anything newer. However having driven a reg cab 2015 with 3.92 gears and a hemi with 8spd auto that could hold its own against the new ones with a few mods.
I had one of those Grand Prixs too. That engine certainly had some torque. I certainly miss the get up and go that it had. I DD a 4 cylinder N/A Subaru now that just doesn't have it.

Right now I have a 99gtp I bought for $900. Fun car, definitely a sleeper with 50% of the clear coat missing.

To stay on topic there is a lot you can do for $4000 just have to do some research and a lot of DIY. If you had enough fab experience you could potentially do a turbo with better heads on a $4000 budget. There was a guy on youtube putting together a turbo kit he was going to sell for $2500.

Thought about it. I can get a donor block, machine work, and a forged rotating assembly for $2400. Less than $2000 if I use hyper instead.

This.

Mine has successfully killed a Dodge Neon and a Toyota Celica just by sitting parked in front of my house.

Seriously kids. Don't drink and drive.
