Default Harness swap to fix trans.

Ok long story short is motor blow in my 01 1500 4x4. Had a motor an trans swapped in from a 98, but the 01 pcm an harness was used. I have had some shifting problems in the trans hi rpm shifts an lagging shifts. So my thought is swapping a 98 harness an pcm, should get the trans back to shifting right. Was told that could just swap the later tcc in the trans and it should work. But really which is my best route to go.
-pcm an harness
-tcc
-a good 46re for my year an sell the 46rh.
Thanks

You want to change the electronics in the trans. Specifically, the governor pressure sensor, and solenoid. The retainer for the solenoid is different on the 00 and up transmission, so you will need that as well.

Do that, and the trans will be fine.

Entirely possible. Just replace everything. The O/D, and TCC solenoids come as a set in any event. Get the BW Heavy duty governor solenoid. They are on ebay by numerous sellers. I think you can get a complete 'kit', with ALL the stuff, for around 200 bucks.
