Default Alt. not charging. Tranny Limp Mode

First of all, Hello from Québec ( canada ) to all Dodge owners !

I have some trouble with my English so, sorry about that.

I have a 2001 Ram 3500 with cummins engine.

I did some research on the forum but I can't find my answer...

Here is my trouble :

My alt. stop charging and my tranny is now in limp mode.

I replaced the alternator , Same trouble. Not charging.

I have continuity to the ecm pin #10 to the feed at the alternator. ( when battery are deconnected )

My tach is fonctionning, so I assume that my Crank sensor is O.K

My 140A fuse is testing good.

Any other ideas !?!

Thank you !!

Voltage regulator is in the PCM, take the alternator to your local parts store and have it tested. If it works on their test bench, you are going to have to address the failed regulator. You can install an external, there are write-ups out there on the web for it.

Welcome to DF.

Solving the low voltage first may help, but, I can't make any predictions there. One step at a time.
