Hey guys, Last night our gear shifter broke off, but it wasn't like the pin fell out the brackets to hold the shifter broke. truck is a dodge 2001 1500 sport with the 5.9 engine, Thinking that we are screwed but getting some opinions, Looks like we are going to have to replace the entire steering column, but hoping not if you have any ideas please let me know. Been searching all day and I'm not finding a replacement part. Tried to add picture to better illustrate what I'm talking about but they would load so here is a link. Please help

Quickest and easiest fix will be to simply replace the column. (beware the airbag, be sure and follow all the safety precautions dealing with it.) Likely end up being cheaper than rebuilding your column as well. The ignition lock cylinder can be changed over, so you don't need a different key.
