Hi all, Ive been lurking for a while. Im not new to forums, but Ive been out for a while.
So in 2012 I picked up a 2000 QCSB 4x4. Other than being a a diesel, it fit all other criteria I had in mind. I bought the truck knowing its letdowns. Since then, its been Stolen, wrecked, and resurrected...more or less.
Anyway, for the past year or so, I have been struggling with the truck idling hot. So I finally decided to stop being a cheap *** and fix it. and this is what i did.
They are offered with two different core thicknesses: 1.5" and 2". As far as rows or flues, it is uncertain. I've been watching and researching for the better part of year on these "HP cheap Alternatives". A year ago, 2'' rad was advertised as 3 row, and now it 2 row?? So who knows really.. The point is it works, it doesn't leak, and i like it.
I do not have cooling issues anymore. Temp stays at 180 or less.
Uncle Cooling was the vendor.. It ships from china, and I had it in a week. It does not come with any paperwork.
Bottom posts fit perfect, top flanges did not. They were off, and one was bent. Adjustable with vise-grip, file, and rubber mallet.
