00 ram 1500 how much tranny fluid and what kind

Default 00 ram 1500 how much tranny fluid and what kind

hi I finally got my transmission into truck and got the shaft up minus the 4x4 as I having issues for parts for it


but I hooked it all up but I need to know
the transmission fluid I have this new ATF 5L jug but how much goes into the tranny and is this the right stuff... here is couple pics


and I have drained the oil as I changed also the front pump torque converter and the tranny filter and pan gasket

You want ATF +4. The trans is going to take about 12 quarts..... It 'says' its the right stuff....... Do you believe that though?

well that motormaster comes from Canadian Tire... why what brand do you guys recommend?


and 12 quarts is 11 litres.. and dodge got back to me said it takes 7 litreswell I guess ill get extra anyways and if I put leasts 7 in wont damage nothing

In all reality, I am not sure it matters whose name is on the label.... so long as it meets spec for +4.....

ah ok and guess I believe its good enough motormaster is the Canadian Tire brand and its our parts store Canadian wide.. so would have to be good


be like when I worked at the water plant same water we stuck different labels on it and companies charged different prices yet we bottled it all so you never know
