Have you checked all the plugs? Or replaced them? If some are worn, higher octane fuel is a bit more forgiving of that kind of thing.

Talking Engine shake and miss fire

Now it may not be my place but to be fair I just had to go through a set of wires on mine here a while back. The wires on my Dakota looked fine, come to find out they where the original plug wires from 160 thousand miles ago, while I'm on the topic always spring for platinum plugs if you can, they may be more expensive but they last twice as long as a silver plug and spark more reliably. I don't know if you can get a hold of any up there but if you are running cleaners through your engine try marvel mystery oil, my old man used to swear by the stuff. My experience with it tells me he was right, every engine I've run it through came out significantly cleaner, had better mileage and ran smoother then before the Marvel. But this is just my two cents so take it or leave it I guess.

When there are ten of them, you really don't want to have to take out a bank loan just to buy spark plugs....

That, and most of the 2nd gen ram crowd have found that these trucks don't always care for the 'rare-earth' spark plugs..... many a set has been replaced to cure a 'mystery miss'...... and it worked.....

They were designed for the copper plugs, and that is what the manufacturer recommends..... so, I just stick with copper.

Thumbs up

Well then I suppose I've learned something.

Having had time to dwell on this, it could be either a worn or cracked distributor cap, but that seems unlikely given the picture above showing two plugs missing their terminals and rusted to hell.

The v10 were distributor-less. They had 2 coils and a module, one coil fires 4 plugs and the other fires 6 plugs. In a lot of ways the v10 was the first real modern pickup motor.

Should be able to attack from the firewall side. Sometimes, it isn't necessarily plugged up, just the breeze in there blows the water back into the passenger compartment, putting an elbow on it solves that.
