00 1500 how tight u tighten front stablizers

Default 00 1500 how tight u tighten front stablizers

Hi i just bought new Monroe magnum shocks foe front
for the bottom bolt i did 100 foot pounds but for the top to compress rubber how tight do you tigtehn it and should i have added locktite since no instructions in box yet instructions were in the monroe steering stablizer

It's supposedly a locking nut, so, just tighten it down until the bushings compress nicely, and call it a day.

How donyou know if you compressed it enough As i not sure if i over tigthened driver side

Left pic might wanna tighten a little more. Right pic is certainly tight enough. You could back that one off a couple turns, and it wouldn't hurt anything. (or, you could leave it as is too....)

Ok i tighten pass side more and releaaed driver some do i need to tigtehn and loosen more or they food driver side nut was wasy to tigthen but pass side was hard should have used air gun

thank you very much .. as there is no instructions how tight to make them.... now i just wish truck didnt rott so much but living in ontario canada they salt the roads heavy so the body of truck is rusting pretty good and it only has 137K/km on the truck just wish it was built better lol

Yeah, its the same here in southern michigan. The salt really does a number on sheetmetal.
