Default Dash cluster change and mileage reporting

I had to change out my gauge cluster due to inaccurate gauge readings.

I believe the mileage it is reporting is far less now. Is there a way to set it properly or does the gauge simply read what the PCM is reporting regarding mileage?

I did pick up the new gauge from a low mileage truck.

I *think* the cluster remembers mileage..... You may be able to have it reprogrammed, give the dealer a shout, and see what they have to say.

you don't have to report mileage after a vehicle is 10years old, probably for this very reason.

Yeah, but, most vehicle titles want to know what the mileage is. There is also the little checkbox for 'not actual miles'.... and that REALLY hurts resale value.
