Locking the back seat in place

Locking the back seat in place

When i take my kayak to the river, is there any way to lock my 'valuables' under the back seat? It pops open, but i don't see any way to actually lock it. 1999 Dodge Ram 1500

that would make a cool mod... make the latch handle quick release. wouldn't be "locked" but it takes some oomph to unlatch sometimes and would be rather dificult without the handle

I took the handles off mine because it was broken into and they lifted the back seat to rip my extra speakers out underneath. Now the seat is down for good unless I replace the handles.
