Electrical issues, please help
I am new to this forum. I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9 ext cab and I am having issues with my 3rd brake light. I am in the process of replacing my lights with led. I removed my complete 3rd brake light (2 screws and a plug) and replaced it with a Lumen led. When I plugged it in, the bed/cargo lights turn on and stay on. Is there a way around this? Some way to bypass this or an easy fix? My stock light does not do this. They come on when I flip the switch. I want to keep this light and not have to return it. Please help me out. Thanks!

Hi TJ, I understand that when You plug in the Brake Light Assy. you called Third Light with a Lumen Third Light which is LED, that the Cargo Light Comes on and stays on, but the OEM Third Light does not do this, is this what I understand correctly? Please Give me the Model number of the New LED Lumen your using.. I will see if I can be of some help. HeyYou may be correct about the new item has an issue or wrong part number as it is wired incorrectly. These Ram's wiring are unique..for sure.
