Default 98 1500 oil pressure in the 80s-90s

Hey my first post. I just changed the oil in my 98 half ton and now it seems that the pressure is high. I'm wondering if the reason would be that I used conventional oil. I'm not sure what was in it before. I'm thinking to fix it I should go with a lighter oil like a 5w-30. I put 10w-30 in it because that's what was in the handbook. The oil pressure mellows out after I drive it for a few miles but then is actually lower than it should be. It drops down to about 35 psi after it's warmed up. I don't think it's a serious issue because there are no other sounds but just thought I'd ask for some input in case I made a mistake so that my truck doesn't blow up on me.

That's normal. Stick with the recommended oil viscosity.
