Angry Radio flashing when turned on

Hello. I have a 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 4WD 5.9L. I searched for this issue on the board but I did not see any threads on it. If there are please direct me to the thread. When I try to power on my radio, it comes on for a second to the AM radio, then it turns off, then back on again, then off. Basically flashing on and off until I hit the power button again. It might possibly be a wiring/electrical issue. I say this because when I turn off my truck and take out the key the clock on the radio never goes off. I think this might be draining my battery as well. If the truck is left unused for more than a day, the battery dies.

Has anyone experienced this, or have any incite as to how to fix this?

Stock, or aftermarket radio? If it's stock, I would simply replace it......

It is the stock radio. Maybe I'll just disconnect it.

Try that first, and see if your battery issues go away.

I thought I would be smart and just took the radio fuse out. It still stayed powered on and it actually worked better. It came on, but no sound, and it still didn't shut off when the truck was off. I unplugged the radio from the back wiring harness. I'll have to wait and see if that is it. Unfortunate I cannot find my multi meter that test amps, to do an inline test to see what the power draw is.
