I wouldn't bother with the epoxy fill. Reducing plenum size isn't going to make much difference one way or the other.

If the 5.2 still runs decent, I would be tempted to start bolting that stuff on to the engine already in there. Would be a nice little performance kick.

it does still run well it has a little over 100000 on it. I bought it a 67000. It burns a good bit of oil which is from the plenum leaking I'm sure. It pings again plenum I think. It started using more oil when I went to synthetic. I'm wanting to put a cam in it as well. So in your opinion you would say stick with the 318?

Depends on what you really want out of it. If it's just a bit more power, the 318, with those parts, will probably fit the bill. If you want significantly more power... well, more cubes is MUCH easier to extract power from. Of course, doing anything with the cam is going to require a custom tune. That's where it gets sticky. You can just buy a tuner, and reflash your PCM, you have to send it out, at around 250 a pop for it...... Heck, even the heads might require a custom tune...... (on the 5.2)

This is the one I was planning for the 318 I don't know if it would be the same one for the 360 or not. I'm really not wanting to go fast just have a good bit or torque. http://www.compperformancegroupstore...=LACAMRFHRXECC

And maybe this one one for the 360

The more I'm looking into this some are saying I will also need a torque converter from a 5.9 is that correct? I have they flywheel it is still on the engine. So as far as I know everything is there if I don't need a torque converter.

Either of those cams would probably work just fine in either engine. However, both of them would require new springs as well. (in any event, it is a really good idea to get springs matched to the cam..... things just work better that way.)

Get the springs recommended for the cam you chose.

On a side note, the stock heads were notorious for cracking around the valve seats....... Instead of spending money on them, I would be real tempted to simply replace them, with some of the NEW, better casting heads available. I think you can still get a pair of complete heads for around 600 or so.
