i have a 2001 ram 1500. my upper ball joints are bad and nobody has them. they say it's a dealer item only and you have to buy the whole control arm! anybody else have this problem or do you know where i can get them? thx, rodger

Evidently ball joints are another weak spot in the Dodges. My 2001 ball joints had to be replaced at 35,000 miles and I don't really know how long they had been bad (I bought it used). My cousins 01 3/4 ton diesel ball joints are bad and have to be replaced. Unfortunate to say but this must be some more junk by dodge because I've seen numerous other complaints on here about the same problems.
