transmission question

Default transmission question

hi I have a 95 ram 1500 2wd 3.9 v6 regular cab short box I would like to know if I can not find another nv3500 for if a nv4500 will bolt right in will any mods need to be done

Yep. Should bolt right up. Keep in mind, the 4500's behind diesels/v-10s have a larger input shaft, so, won't work with your six. Also, I think they are a bit longer, which may cause driveshaft length issues.

thanks for the info it is my understanding that the 3.9 5.2 and 5.9 gas all have the same bell housing I do want to do a v8 swap (5.9) down the road if I pull a 4500 for a v8 will I have a problem with the input shaft
