Talking New to the forum.

Hello, I’m new to the forum and it’s actually my first ever forum membership. I read a post that said to start a new thread introducing myself. I drive a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie with a 5.9 magnum. I am having trouble posting to the classified section. Also I don’t know why but since logging in I can no longer use the mobile version. If someone could tag an admin to help with this I would appreciate it.

Welcome to DF! You won't be able to post in the classified until you have 25 posts on the forum.

No clue why the mobile version doesn't wanna work.

Welcome to the DF. Please put your truck specs in your signature. That way when you ask a question, everyone will know the year, engine, drive train. What's your truck look like? We love pictures.

Hey guys sorry been busy with work. This is the truck she’s my swamp donkey! (Big fat ugly B****) it’s a two wheel drive 99 Ram 1500 with a 5.9 magnum. I’m currently trying to find a spare block for her so i can start on my build. This things got 215000 hard miles on her and I think a modest 500 hp build with 600ftlbs of torque is what I’m shooting for. If y’all got any input or advice let me know. I’ve built my fair share of race cars and bikes but this will be the first truck that I build for daily driving and racing. Also the bottom picture is the first performance mod I’ve done. The best thing in racing is intimidation right? I think giant truck nuts will do the trick!

is it 25 posts or replies? I know there’s a bunch of threads I could comment on but I don’t want to flood the forum with posts when I know everything I will have has been covered!

Posts, replies, threads, its all pretty much the same as far as post count goes.

Love the truck nuts.

Big difference between building race motors, and building truck motors. A high rpm screamer that has nothin' down low is going to be neither useful, or fun to drive....... You want low-end grunt, so, big power numbers aren't really required, (nor desired.... if you don't get there till 5K RPM......) Torque is where its at!

Trust me I know. I’m shooting for 9:1. Compression with a solid roller cam. That or gigantic hydraulic cam. Probably gonna have a ls3 sniper intake manifold modified to fit the Edelbrock RPM heads. Then sort out the fuel rail. Gonna go flat top pistons as well. I want the compression low so I can have the high torque and just supplement the higher end of the power band with some nitrous or turbos if I suddenly find money lying around lol
